Where you start should never determine where you end up in life. 

Hi there, I'm Melissa Rogmad!

As the daughter of two immigrant parents, I grew up watching my family navigate the challenges of building something from nothing. While most kids spent their afternoons at soccer practice or dance class, I was learning the value of a dollar, working alongside my mom to help her run her cleaning business. Those humble beginnings shaped my belief that success isn’t determined by where you start but by the steps you take to grow. 

Later, as a young single mother, I experienced firsthand how vital it was to claim every credit and deduction I was legally entitled to on my own tax return. I know what it feels like to rely on a tax refund as a financial lifeline. 

I come from a family of entrepreneurs who built their businesses from scratch - with no inheritance, no handouts, just sweat equity. That grit became my foundation, but my own journey also revealed the obstacles small businesses face when trying to thrive. 

All those experiences taught me how critical it is to understand and leverage tax laws. When used strategically, the tax code transforms from a set of rules into a powerful tool—one that can turn survival into stability and stability into growth and opportunity. 

Fast forward to today, and those lessons fuel my mission at Lux Financial Solutions. With over 15 years of experience, I am more than a tax strategist—I'm a partner for service-based small business owners like you who are ready to be proactive and leverage tax planning an integral part of their year-round financial strategy.
